If you have guests coming along to this year’s Street Choirs Festival and want to let them know what is happening when and where, then here is our handy guide.
This year there will be two Street Choir Festival concerts. One on Friday 29th June and one on Saturday 30th June. Tickets for both performances are available to purchase directly from The Dome box office in person or online.
Friday’s concert will start at 7pm and finish by 11pm. The following choirs will be performing:
Rise’n’Roar’n’Raise the Roof, Sound Women, DeciBelle, The Dawn Chorus, The Honest Singers, Zu Choir, East Lancs Clarion Choir (Burnley), Raised Voices, Bletchingley Community Choir, Côr Gobaith, Gin and Harmonics, The Acabellas. The choir performances will be interspersed with performances by Robb Johnson, Jamal and Alla, Qukulele, Naomi Bedford and Paul Simmonds & Barnstormer 1659 with our MC, Lara King.
Saturday’s concert will start at 5pm and finish by 11pm. The following choirs will be performing:
Out Aloud, Forgotten Voices Community Choir, Voxicology, ¡Chorista! Guildford Vox Community Choir, Ain’t What You Do, Preston People’s Choir, Knot Another Choir & Leeds People’s Choir, Protest in Harmony, Walcot State Choir, The Pales Peace Choir, Bury AcaPeelers Community Choir, Open Voice, Sheffield Socialist Choir, Women of Note, Commoners Choir, Bradford Voices, Whitby Community Choir, Kadenza, Ilkley Moornotes, Calder Valley Voices, Red Leicester, Manchester Community Choir, Hullabaloo Community Quire. Lara King will again be the MC and the evening will include performances by Mike Reinstein, Pog and Siren.
This year’s Massed Sing will take place on Saturday 30th June at 12.30pm on the seafront at the West Pier (by the i360).
All are very welcome to come and join us.
On Saturday 30th June from 1.50pm to 4.10pm all of this year’s choirs will be performing at one of 15 different busking spots. Each busk last for around 20 minutes.
The busking spots are: Open Market, Brighton Station, Gloucester Road Mosaic, Jubilee Square, New Road, Pavilion Gardens Café, Ship Street, Duke Street, Friends’ Meeting House Garden, Brighton Square Dolphin, Brighton Place, Old Steine, Fishing Museum, West Pier Arches East (Rusty Pillars), West Pier Arches West (i360).
